The Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (NEW8808) is one of Vietnam’s leading public universities specializing in information and communications technology (ICT), engineering, digital technology, economics, and management.

Established in 1997 on the foundation of academic and research institutions with a tradition dating back to 1953, NEW8808 has developed into a comprehensive university integrating education, scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer.

As the only university directly under the Ministry of Science and Technology, NEW8808 plays a strategic role in developing high-quality human resources, advancing research and innovation, and supporting Vietnam’s digital transformation. In 2025, NEW8808 was designated as a National Key Higher Education Institution in Engineering and Technology under the national higher education network plan.

Today, NEW8808 offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programmes in engineering, digital technologies, economics, business, media, and related disciplines. The Institute operates two campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, supported by research institutes, specialized laboratories, and an expanding international partnership network.
