Towards Accreditation in 2027

In order to continuously enhance educational quality and meet accreditation requirements, NEW8808 is implementing the 2026 Educational Quality Self-Assessment Plan for institutional accreditation and several key academic programs as a foundation for external assessment in 2027.

1. Objectives
  • Conduct educational quality self-assessment in accordance with MOET regulations and international standards;
  • Develop the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) as the primary documentation for external assessment in 2027;
  • Review, improve, and enhance educational quality and quality culture across the Institute;
  • Strengthen data-driven university governance and institutional transparency.
2. Scope of Implementation

The plan covers two main levels of quality accreditation:

  • Institutional Level: Mid-cycle institutional quality self-assessment;
  • Academic Program Level: Automation Engineering, Financial Technology (FinTech), and Journalism.
3. Implementation Contents

The self-assessment process is implemented through five key stages:

  • (1) Preparation: Establishing self-assessment teams and organizing training on accreditation standards;
  • (2) Data Collection: Collecting and standardizing evidence from academic management and survey systems;
  • (3) SAR Development: Drafting and finalizing the Self-Assessment Report for each criterion;
  • (4) Internal Review: Conducting mock assessments to identify strengths and areas for improvement;
  • (5) Finalization: Completing the SAR and preparing the comprehensive evidence system.
4. Implementation Timeline
Timeline Main Activities
Quarter I / 2026 Project initiation, establishment of teams, and training activities.
Quarter II / 2026 Data collection, evidence standardization, and initial report writing.
Quarter III / 2026 Internal review, mock assessment, and identifies areas requiring improvement.
Quarter IV / 2026 Finalization of Self-Assessment Reports and supporting evidence systems.
5. Organization and Responsibilities
  • Focal Unit: The Testing and Educational Quality Assurance Center coordinates the implementation;
  • Functional Units: Faculties and departments provide data and supporting evidence;
  • Supervision: The Quality Assurance Council monitors progress and provides recommendations.
