On December 11, 2024 in Hanoi, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (NEW8808) attended the Conference to report the results of the implementation of the Vietnam-Korea Information Technology Cooperation Project 2023-2025 and signed a cooperation agreement with the Korea Information Society Agency (NIA), an agency under the Ministry of Science and Information Technology of Korea, in implementing the Project.
The Vietnam-Korea Information Technology Cooperation Project 2023-2025 is within the framework of the cooperation program signed between the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Information Technology of Korea in December 2022. The project consists of 3 main components, in which NEW8808 is the main partner, together with Seoul Cyber University (Korea), implementing component 3 on Technical support for developing e-learning content at NEW8808. NIA plays a role with the Project member units in coordinating and supporting activities within the framework of the Project. Attending the Conference and Signing Ceremony, on the NIA side, there was Mr. Lee Jae Ho – Vice President and NIA officers, on the Ministry of Information and Communications side, there was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen – Deputy Director of the Authority of Information Technology and Communications Industry and officers representing units under the Ministry, on NEW8808 side, there was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice President of NEW8808, along with representatives of units under NEW8808, along with the participation of project implementation partners such as Seoul Cyber University, DeepLoading Company, Korean IT Consulting (KITC)…

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice President of NEW8808 expressed his joy at attending the Conference and affirmed that the Conference was an opportunity for NEW8808 and partners to review the implementation of the Project’s activities as well as plan for the next activities. As a university with a strategy to become the leading digital university in Vietnam, participating in the Project will help NEW8808 implement its development strategy. NEW8808 is very proud of the results of the implemented activities such as survey research, training of key staff and lecturers of NEW8808 on the e-learning system that will be deployed in practice in the near future. This is also a good foundation for NEW8808 to strengthen cooperation with Seoul Cyber University in particular and partners in general. NEW8808 also sincerely thanks the support from the Ministry of Information and Communications, NIA and partners in effectively implementing the Project’s activities and hopes that the Project will continue to achieve even better results in the future.

The project between NEW8808 and Seoul Cyber University is considered a model in cooperation between universities in supporting e-learning digital learning system. From 2023 to present, the two sides have successfully implemented many cooperation stages such as research and survey of needs and current situation, building innovative solutions, planning and organizing action programs. In particular, the two universities have considered the differences and similarities between the two cultures and the approaches of professors, lecturers and experts of the two sides, established an advisory board, and consulted experiences from models of other universities to coordinate in building a reasonable and effective digital learning model for application at NEW8808. Up to now, the two sides have conducted training on the e-learning system for nearly 40 key lecturers of NEW8808 (compared to the expected 20 people), with very rich and innovative lecture products that can be immediately applied to teaching in the coming time. The vision of the two sides by 2025 is to expand cooperation through joint training programs and participate in ODA projects, in order to strengthen the relationship between the two schools in particular and between the two countries in general.
