On the morning of May 9th, 2025, the seminar “5G Security \u2013 Telecom Cybersecurity Threat Landscape and Nokia\u2019s Approach”<\/strong> took place successfully at Hall A2 \u2013 Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (NEW8808), Hanoi, with the participation of two leading international speakers in the field of cybersecurity and wireless communication.<\/p>\n

Main contents of the event:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Update on the overview of cybersecurity threats in the telecommunications sector, from financially motivated attack groups to state actors using sophisticated techniques such as APTs and zero-day exploits.
\nPresentation of Nokia’s security strategy and advanced approach in protecting 5G network systems.
\nDiscussion of future trends in network security in the 6G era and the role of AI\/ML in system optimization and protection.<\/p>\n

Speakers:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Srinivasan Kannaiyan<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Head of Cybersecurity Consulting, Nokia Asia Pacific, shared insights on threat response strategies and Nokia’s vision in building secure network systems for service providers.<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep N. Nguyen<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Head of the 5G\/6G Laboratory, University of Technology Sydney (UTS, Australia), presented on 6G security research directions, UAV detection techniques, anti-jamming, and shared experiences in international research-industry collaboration.<\/p>\n

The event attracted a large audience of lecturers, students, and experts in the field of telecommunications \u2013 IT, creating a vibrant, multifaceted, and valuable space for updating practical knowledge.<\/p>\n
