At the official invitation of the United Nations, a delegation from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (NEW8808), led by Assoc. Prof. Dang Hoai Bac, President of NEW8808, participated in the workshop Development of a Blueprint for National AI Strategies and National Data Center Strategies and attended the signing ceremony and launch of the Global AI Capacity Development Network (AICDN) in Geneva, Switzerland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Notably, during the event, NEW8808 officially became a member of the AICDN, marking an important milestone in expanding its international partnerships and reaffirming NEW8808\u2019s role within the global artificial intelligence ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n

The signing ceremony and launch of the AICDN were held at the headquarters of the World Trade Organization (WTO), with the participation of representatives from United Nations agencies, universities, research institutes, enterprises, and AI organizations from around the world. Representing NEW8808, Dr. Vu Hoai Nam, Head of the Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Director of the YIRLoDT Lab, signed the membership agreement on behalf of NEW8808.<\/span><\/p>\n

The AICDN currently brings together more than 20 leading AI centers from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean, with the mission of promoting international collaboration, knowledge sharing, resource exchange, and experience sharing to strengthen AI capacity development worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n
