As part of the working visit to Kazakhstan, the delegation from Vietnam\u2019s Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Minh, Deputy Minister, held a meeting with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan to discuss cooperation orientations in artificial intelligence (AI), digital government, and the development of digital innovation ecosystems. Joining the delegation was a team from Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (NEW8808), led by Assoc. Prof. Dang Hoai Bac, President of NEW8808.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Dmitriy Mun, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan, together with representatives from departments responsible for international cooperation, technology ecosystem development, and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting, the Kazakh side shared its strategic vision of positioning Kazakhstan as an AI hub in Central Asia, while introducing a number of AI and digital government applications currently being implemented in practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discussions focused on the country\u2019s digital public service ecosystem, featuring integrated platforms such as digital mortgage, social wallet, proactive public services, and the eGov Mobile system under the \u201cInvisible Government\u201d approach \u2014 a seamless digital government model designed to minimize direct administrative procedures for citizens. Kazakhstan also introduced AI platforms supporting decision-making in public administration, as well as AI assistants for public services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking at the session, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh highly appreciated Kazakhstan\u2019s achievements in digital government development and the application of AI in public governance. He also shared that Vietnam is currently promoting the development of national AI platforms, strengthening AI infrastructure, and exploring the establishment of a national AI fund to support innovation ecosystems and digital transformation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On that basis, the two sides agreed to establish a joint working group, with the first meeting expected to take place in 2026, focusing on three priority pillars. First, promoting AI applications in the public sector and digital government, including sharing experiences in AI-assisted decision-making, administrative process automation, digital assistant development, and data analytics for governance. Second, strengthening cooperation in digital infrastructure development and cybersecurity, with emphasis on data governance, open data, data centers, and cloud computing. Third, building a connectivity hub and coordinating investment funds between the two countries to support startups and high-tech enterprises in accessing regional markets, while jointly developing high-quality human resources in AI and data science.<\/span><\/p>\n
